Program Description
Program Goals and Philosophy
At the heart of our U7 development program lies a commitment to nurturing young talent and instilling a lifelong passion for ice hockey. We believe that early positive experiences in sports can shape a child's future, both on and off the ice. Our program is built on three fundamental pillars:
1. Fun and Engaging
We create a joyful atmosphere where children can explore the sport through play-based learning, ensuring their first encounter with hockey is memorable and exciting.
2. Skill Development
Our curriculum focuses on age-appropriate fundamental skills such as skating, puck control, and basic game concepts, laying a strong foundation for future growth.
3. Teamwork
We emphasize the importance of cooperation, sportsmanship, and positive social interactions, helping young players develop crucial life skills alongside their hockey abilities.
By balancing these elements, we aim to create well-rounded young athletes who not only excel in hockey but also grow as individuals.
Program Coordinators
Our Program Coordinators are experienced CIHL, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Junior Hockey players interning in Hong Kong, who all have extensive coaching experience as well.
Program Prerequisites
- Minimum 1 year of skating experience
- No hockey experience required
Parent Coordinator
A parent coordinator will be designated for this program and will be available to assist throughout the season.
